W. John D. Taylor, FRICS, MRAC is a chartered land agent, estate manager, and leisure industry authority with over five decades of experience spanning farming, dairy production, and major tourist attraction development. Educated at Kings School, Canterbury, and the Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester, John is a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors with a Diploma in Farm and Estate Management. As Managing Partner of the 1,000-acre Cricket St. Thomas Estate in Somerset, he grew the operation into one of the region's largest employers, building a multi-million-pound dairy business and developing a wildlife park that attracted 350,000 visitors annually. He has also directed the construction of Cotswold Wildlife Park, the redevelopment of Land's End as a major tourist destination, and the development of Littlecote Park, which won a national Tourism Award. John serves as Leisure Consultant for the national leisure division of Humberts, advising prestigious estates and attractions across the UK, including Alton Towers, Castle Howard, Ragley Hall, Goodwood Estate, and the Island of Gigha. He is a past Chairman of the National Zoological Association and a former Council Member of the Federation of Zoological Gardens.
