Tell us about your business.

Our Rural Diversification & Planning team works with farmers, landowners, rural estates and businesses across the country to identify new opportunities, unlock value and create sustainable income streams.

We provide strategic advice on diversification projects ranging from tourism, leisure and visitor attractions through to renewable energy, commercial development, residential development, natural capital and alternative rural enterprises. By bringing together planning, rural consultancy, development and property expertise under one roof, we help clients navigate complex challenges and turn ideas into successful, deliverable projects.

What makes us unique is our ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery. We don't just identify opportunities; we help clients take projects from concept through planning and implementation, ensuring they are commercially viable and aligned with long-term business objectives.

What’s new or exciting that you’ll be showcasing at Farm Business Innovation.

The rural economy is evolving rapidly, with more than 70% of UK farms now having diversified. We'll be showcasing the growing range of diversification opportunities available to farmers and landowners in today's market.

Our team will be discussing emerging opportunities in areas such as farmyard redevelopment, the use of permitted development rights, rural tourism, farm attractions, renewable energy, natural capital, commercial development and estate-wide business reviews. We'll also be sharing examples of how changing planning policies and evolving market trends can create opportunities for rural businesses to generate new income streams and improve long-term resilience.

Visitors will be able to explore real-life projects we've delivered and learn how a strategic approach to diversification can help unlock the full potential of rural assets.

What can visitors expect when they visit your stand?

Visitors can expect practical, expert advice from specialists who work with a rural business of all shapes and sizes every day.

Whether you're at the early stages of exploring diversification opportunities or already have a project in mind, our team will be available to discuss ideas, planning considerations, business objectives and potential routes to delivery. We'll be sharing examples of successful projects, discussing current market opportunities and providing insights into the planning process.

Most importantly, visitors can have an informal conversation about their farm or estate and leave with a clearer understanding of the opportunities available to their business.

Can you share a customer success story or example of how your products or services have made an impact?

One of the most rewarding aspects of our work is helping rural businesses identify opportunities they may not have previously considered.

For example, we worked with a farming client looking to improve business resilience and reduce reliance on traditional agricultural income. Through a strategic review of their assets and planning potential, we identified diversification opportunities that aligned with both market demand and the character of the holding. We then guided the project through planning and implementation, helping to create a new income stream that strengthened the long-term future of the business. We also identified non-core assets where we were able to maximise value and sell (through obtaining permission for a residential barn conversion), allowing the funds to be reinvested into the business.

This approach reflects the work we do across the country: helping clients unlock value from their land and property while creating sustainable, long-term opportunities for growth.
