Wastewater first enters the primary sedimentation chamber (1), where solids settle out. It then passes into the anaerobic and aeration chambers (2 & 3), where highly efficient bio-media support dense microbial growth to break down organic matter. In the clarification chamber (4), remaining particles are separated and returned for further treatment, while clean effluent is discharged from the final chamber (5).
