Rural planning proposals don’t always have to be “developers versus communities”. We will be looking at successful approaches to bring local people on board with new developments, overcome resistance and fear of change, and turn new development opportunities into win/win situations for local people and developers. We will see how building a thorough understanding of both local issues, and a schemes potential to deliver value to the wider community, is critical to success.
