Back in 2015 Hesper Farm diversified their dairy farm to produce skyr - Icelandic fat-free frozen yogurt. Their success in diversifying their offering has been recognised by the 2017 British Farming Awards, who granted Sam Moorhouse the title the 'Diversification Innovator of the Year' award last month.
Organised by Briefing Media, the 2017 British Farming Awards were put together with the aim of celebrating innovative achievements within the UK agricultural industry, and saw more than 700 farmers and industry professionals get together at the Birmingham NEC this November.
Group Head of Content for Briefing Media, Emma Penny, said: “The 14 awards recognise the innovation and determination that is present in today’s ever changing and challenging farming industry.”
